Executive College Students Pay Visit To Tea FM Station

15 June 2017, KUCHING: Executive College (EC) held an educational visit for students to Tea FM radio station recently.

A press release yesterday said the visit aimed to expose students to communication skills needed in the field of media and communications.

Students were given a tour of the radio station, which is the first privately-owned Chinese and English radio station in East Malaysia.

They also had the opportunity to meet DJs Anthony, Gina and Jacob, who provided information on working in the radio industry.

Quantity surveying student Teo Chung Yuan said the visit was an eye-opening experience.

“It is my first time visiting Tea FM and it’s exciting. The people there are very good and were able to explain a lot of things well.

“We learnt a lot about working in a radio station, such as background music and live recordings,” he said.

Fellow quantity surveying student Daryl Ng was elated to be able to meet the radio DJs and see an actual radio station.

“The DJs are cool. We saw what they do behind-the-scenes of a radio show,” he said.
